QOYARI: QUEEN OF THE INKA NATURE WISDOM LINEAGE

August 9th - august 16th 2025
Blue Spirit, Costa Rica

Join us for a transformative week of embodying ancient wisdom with Q'ero Teachers as we immerse ourselves in Earth-based practices that will awaken your heart and inspire your spirit.

Dear Qoya Community,

You are invited to join us for a transformative week-long journey exploring ancient feminine wisdom traditions from the Andes Mountains. This unique retreat brings together the ancient spiritual practices of the Q'ero people with contemporary feminine movement practices, creating a powerful bridge between ancestral knowledge and modern life.

This retreat is a deep immersion in the Feminine Inka Nature Wisdom held by three renown Andean Priestesses or Ñust’a Paqos from Peru. Through talk story, traditional Andean offering ceremonies, initiatory lineal energetic transmissions, and movement of our sacred bodies we will commune with the forces of Nature to guide and empower us in facing down our challenges, and bringing our destinies onward toward full fruition.

From my heart to yours,

Rochelle Schieck

The heart of our journey

If you find yourself longing to reconnect with yourself, your body, nature, wisdom, like-hearted people and a way to feel guidance in your daily life that resonates with your soul, We invite you to come and learn about everyday lifestyle practices that can support you to reconnect and stay connected to your essence with movement, deepening your personal relationship with nature and sacred ceremonies that activate your spirit and replenish your life force to meet the moments of your life feeling yourself in collaboration with life itself!

The retreat weaves together three core principles:
1. The wisdom of the body as our connection to nature
2. The wild, untamed energy that flows through all living things
3. The creative power we each hold to bring healing and positive change into the world

At the center of this retreat is the story of Qoyari, the essence of the sacred feminine from Andean tradition, which represents the deep connection between women and nature. Her wisdom teaches us that our bodies hold profound intelligence and that through movement, ceremony, and connection to the natural world, we can access deep healing and transformation.

The inspiration for
our journey

The Q’ero Myth of INKARI recovered during the first academic expedition to Hatun Q’eros in 1955, is credited as providing the ideological basis for the 1969 agrarian reform of Peru, redistributing ownership of large oligarchic estates back to Indigenous communities, under the motto “those who work the land, own the land.” Huge social change was achieved by a powerful idea, the Q’ero myth of THE RETURN OF THE INKA.

However, until now, few words have been spoken about the little known MYTH OF QOYARI, powerful female progenitor of the Inka Nature Wisdom lineage. Revelations about Qoyari have come to light through our Global Paqo School, where we have weekly sessions from our Q'ero elders who have recently shared more about Qoyari, the essence of the divine feminine, the first Qoya. The teachings offered by the Q'ero have a mystical synchronicity with what Rochelle Schieck, Founder of Qoya Inspired Movement, received when she listened to the mountain known as Apu Salkantay.  What she heard and what the Q'ero's teachings are revealing now is that the wisdom of Qoyari is needed for our modern world. The core teachings of Qoyari are:

WISE=YACHAQ There is an unseverable bond between the human body and Mother Nature. It is our responsibility to cultivate connection and trust with our physical bodies, as it is through this intuitive listening and embodied knowing we also cultivate connection and trust with Pachamama, the consciousness of Mother Nature.

WILD=SALQA We are being called to remember our undomesticated energy. Like the energy of wild animals, humans also hold innate intelligence of how to heal themselves through Nature. Salqa is also the term used by the Q’ero Paqos to describe the living energy that is harvested from the Gold & Silver fields cultivated in Mishkayani—a higher plane—and brought through to achieve miraculous healing, equilibrium and abundance in our material world.

FREE=KAMAKUQ ATIQ—The characteristic of free in this context term means one who can bring forth creative ideas, projects and worlds and carry them to fruition.

After the Spanish invaded Peru, According to Q’ero Myth, only Qoyari was able to return to—MISHKAYANI—The Sacred Metaphysical City of Power Priestesses—akin to the Tibetan Shambhala but in a feminine Andean formulation—

The lore states that MISHAKAYNI is where QOYARI lives now, in this moment, and where she upholds and offers the purity of living energy that can heal the world, to the ones who reach out to her.

During this week-long experience together, we will listen deeply to the wisdom of Pachamama as we immerse ourselves in the Qoyari Wisdom through teachings, ceremonies, energetic transmissions, and the movement of our sacred bodies.

THIS IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY THE FEMININE WISDOM LINEAGE DIRECTLY WITH THESE ÑUST'A PAQOS, descendants of the Inkari & Qoyari who live high in the Andes of Peru are here to share their technology of how to re-sacralize our relationship with Mother Earth. They are experts in our Human/Nature relationship and are currently being called to leave their remote mountain villages in the clouds to share their ancestral practices with the world at this critical juncture. Come learn to become a human bridge to Nature to help restore harmony to our lives and our world.

A rare opportunity

This retreat offers the extraordinary chance to learn directly from indigenous spiritual teachers who have left their remote mountain homes to share their practices with the world. These wisdom keepers bring forward ancient techniques for rebuilding our sacred relationship with the Earth at a time when this knowledge is deeply needed.

Why This Matters Now

As our world faces environmental challenges, the Q'ero teachers offer practical spiritual tools for reconnecting with nature and bringing healing to our communities. Their teachings remind us that we each have the power to contribute to the Earth's healing through our conscious relationship with the natural world.

PRAISE for qoya retreats

“A few months ago, I was initiated into the magical world of Qoya by the fabulous founder, Rochelle Schieck, and the other Qoya Collective retreat facilitators. Having just spent a week studying with 30 or so other women, I can honestly say that Qoya is an essential way to connect with your own essence. Through dance, movement and meditation, you remember. You remember how to feel truth in your body. You listen deeply to your intuition. And you feel into how wise and wild and free you really can be!”

— Gemini A.

“Costa Rica called me—the nourishing opportunity to relax and dance for a whole week surrounded by love! It’s also a great time for me to pause my regular life, step into a space of just ME, and release what no longer serves me into the ocean. My favorite parts were connecting to the community of women because they are unreal and SO fulfilling, the downtime to relax in the sun because it nourishes my heart and soul, and the Qoya classes because they allow me to reconnect to myself! I feel that every woman deserves to be surrounded by beauty both in nature and in human form for a week to be loved on, celebrated, honored, supported, and held so gently.”

— Leigh Locke

“My first ever retreat of any kind was Qoya Costa Rica eight years ago. Since then, it has become my only Must Do every year. Doing Qoya at Blue Spirit, surrounded by so many amazing women is healing for my mind, body, and soul. Every year, I look forward to feeling as if I have come home to familiar comforting surroundings and to the opportunity to meet new best friends and sharing our stories. This year, I left with a sense of calm and peace that I have not felt before. I cannot stress enough how amazed I am by the healing powers that sharing the Qoya experience with other women has on me. It’s so easy to connect with my own emotions without the threat of feeling judged. On returning home, I have realized that somehow my ability to chill out has (almost) become second nature.”

— Linda Kannapell

“The experience of focusing on "I am you, you are me, we are one" helped me realize that I'm really not as alone as I often feel in my struggles. Sharing this experience with so many amazing women will help me to deepen my own practice. I'm so excited to have taken the next step towards where I want to be in this world by practicing my own sacred work rather than just plugging along doing what I "think" I should or have to do to get by. This experience has truly helped me to discover that and to embark upon the next step of my journey.”

— Megan

“I'd never felt so alive, connected, and at home in my body and being. I was yearning for that re-connection once again and to deeply connect in and weave with the Qoya community. The women present always have such powerful heart and integrity. The Qoya retreats are a huge highlight for my life and sacred work. It feels like HOME all around.”

— Lainie Love Dalby
