MEET ROCHELLE

Qoya Inspired Movement Founder

Growing up, dance was my oasis. It offered me an opportunity for catharsis and inspiration day in and day out. Inspired by my early dance experiences, I chose to study the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of movement in college. Some years after completing that degree, my intuition guided me with this clear message:  


“Learn by doing. Immerse yourself in your personal practices and share what works for you.”


I listened.

For over 20 years I’ve immersed myself in studying and embodying the practices that have spoken to my heart and called to my soul. I’ve traveled to over 30 countries, receiving the cultural gifts that each has to offer. These inner and outer adventures have led me to feel the clarity of my calling:


To invite people to awaken the wisdom, wildness and freedom of their essence in their body. 

It turns out, what worked for me, worked for many others as well.

For the past 13 years, I have passionately devoted myself to creating spaces for those who are inspired to gather to remember what is true for them when they awaken sensation in their body. In that time, hundreds of thousands of Qoya Inspired Movement videos have been enjoyed, tens of thousands of people have attended Qoya classes and hundreds of teachers in twenty different countries have been certified. 

 

And today, here you are! 

 

That’s why I’m here. Because you are too. And because I still can’t not dance. I believe that movement is the easiest way to come back to myself and I know so much more is possible when each of us remember the essence of who we are and live from that place.
