The Qoya Teacher Training is a profound experience for personal growth that offers practices and tools to hold space for others in your community as they dance with the blessings and challenges of their lives.
After you take our Intro to Qoya online training to get a foundation of what Qoya is and how to do it, the next step is Initiation training in which you break down the nuts and bolts of teaching and get a deeper understanding of the philosophies underlying each pillar of a Qoya class.
This Initiation training will take place online via zoom.
In this training, you will review each pillar, take a deeper dive, then receive practical training in getting up on your feet and learning how to lead another person through each pillar.
There will be time to practice leading with a partner and also to be led by your fellow teachers. Through this practice, you'll build a firm foundation in not only being able to move through each pillar in a class or in your home practice, but in how to lead others.
We look forward to dancing together and if you have any questions, please reach out to us, and we'll be happy to help.

PRAISE
“Healing through movement has been an unspoken truth, and being able to embody it has been very helpful. My favorite part of the training was spending time with other lovely creatures who want to make the world a better place, one person at the time, starting with yourself. We all had a similar purpose but different approaches.”
Alexia Mane
"Qoya has been such a powerful practice for me personally and unlike any other body/movement practice I've done before. It has helped me to be more connected to my body in a way that has allowed me to integrate so much of the personal and spiritual work I'd already doing. The practicing with each other was the part that I was most nervous about, and it was the most fun and rewarding! It was helpful from a teaching perspective to notice areas where I felt more/less comfortable, identify tips/techniques that were helpful. It was also so neat to see how different people could create very different experiences using the same song/movements, which helped me appreciate just how varied the practice can be within the supportive structure."

"I love Qoya!! I wanted to deepen my understanding of it and move towards possibly becoming a teacher. The trainers were amazing, holding a beautiful learning space that allowed for mistakes and growth. The discussions were thorough, and any and all questions were answered with considerable depth of knowledge using their considerable experience of teaching Qoya."
Karen
"This training helped me really understand the philosphy of Qoya and more importantly how Qoya is embodied. I feel I know my body more and that the path that helps me access my body is clearer. I feel confident in my ability to teach Qoya to others and create a plateform for participants to connect to their inner wisdom, wildness, and freedom."

FACILITATOR
Rochelle Schieck is the founder of Qoya Inspired Movement, a practice rooted in the understanding that through movement, we remember our essence is wise, wild, and free.
For over 15 years, she has been guiding classes, retreats, and teacher trainings around the world, supporting tens of thousands of people in deepening their relationship with their bodies, their inner knowing, and the world around them.
Rochelle created Qoya as a movement practice based on the idea that the way we know we are doing it right is when it feels good. Her work weaves together movement, ritual, and connection as pathways back to the body and to a deeper sense of trust in oneself.
As a facilitator, her approach is experiential and relational. She invites you to trust your own embodied wisdom while offering clear structures and practical tools to support you in beginning to share the practice with others. Her teaching is rooted in presence, connection, and the belief that each person already holds the wisdom they are seeking.
