ABOUT

Saturdays at 6:00pm at Kahumana Organics Farm & Cafe in the Yoga Room. You can email katrina@gmail.com for any questions, details, or signing up!

Katrina has spent her 38 years loving, hating, and learning to love her body again. She worked for years in a job that fell into her lap but it wasn't what she was supposed to do with her life. Enter Qoya.

Qoya was one of the first places she learned that she didn’t have to be at war with her body. Katrina has been a part of the Qoya community for 7+ years and a certified teacher for 3 years. Through Qoya she has deepened her connection to her body and found freedom to be her most authentic self. She hopes to provide a safe space for women to learn and feel the same!

Katrina currently lives on the beautiful island of Oahu and spends as much time as she can in the ocean as a self proclaimed mermaid. She loves to read, hike, roller skate, dance, make music, doodle, and paint on her time off.

GETTING TO KNOW

Katrina Mendizabal

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU TO TEACH QOYA?

Teaching Qoya means providing a safe space for women to express themselves, to connect with their bodies, to connect with others, and a space to find the freedom to be their most authentic selves! It has been a lifelong dream to provide this.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO IS FEELING INSPIRED TO TRY QOYA FOR THE FIRST TIME?

My desire is for women to embrace themselves and their bodies wherever they may be. This is the space where you get to explore how things feel and not worry about what it looks like! You are not alone, there are others who have felt the same too.
