ABOUT
Lisa learned long ago that she would need a full “toolbox” to live her best life. Lisa’s journey to happiness would lead to a Masters of Arts in Counseling, a certification as a Usui Reiki Master, and experience as a guided meditation instructor. Her interest in Eastern medicine had her studying the meridian points of the body to become an EFT and TFT tapping practitioner. Lisa’s reverence for nature, would lead her to study with Robert Reeves for certification in flower therapy. Lisa’s life-long passion for dance, coupled with the desire to connect to her own inner wisdom, would lead her to train under the founder of the Qoya movement, Rochelle Schieck. Lisa believes she has been given a beautiful life perspective by parenting one child with a traumatic brain injury, and another daughter who is autistic and nonverbal. Through conscious movement practice, Lisa helps women reconnect with the truth in their bodies.

GETTING TO KNOW
Lisa Pokoluk
WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU TO TEACH QOYA?
Qoya has given me the opportunity to help women trust the truth in their bodies. The area where I teach is very conservative. This work is so desperately needed here, although getting people to come to class has been a challenge. I just know that the right people will find Qoya when they are ready.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO IS FEELING INSPIRED TO TRY QOYA FOR THE FIRST TIME?
A Qoya class is a place with no judgment where you can learn to trust the truth in your body. There is no experience in yoga or dance required. The class is a mixture of meditation, intention setting, yoga, conscious movement, and sisterhood. There is no way to do Qoya wrong, and all are welcome.
