ABOUT
I am Liz Reichard and I am the founder and owner of Sunranges Qoya.
I have always wanted to help others. I studied law, and during my degree decided that I wanted to work in community law. It was a way to use my abilities to empower vulnerable members of our community to ensure they were treated fairly. I worked extensively with women who had experienced some truly horrific circumstances. It was difficult work but very rewarding. However, after working in this area for over 10 years, it became apparent that it was having a heavy toll on me, my mental health and my family. I knew I needed a change but was at a loss as to what I should do.
In January 2019, I attended a retreat in Macedon, Victoria where one of the sessions was Qoya. I knew straight away that this practice was something special. I connected with my body in a way I hadn't before. The movements awakened a realisation in me that my essence is Wise, Wild and Free. I experienced that movement can be medicine. I saw how the other women connected with Qoya and the breakthroughs they had. And this all happened in an hour and a half! It was liberating, fun and an amazing workout as well. I couldn't wait to experience it again.
A chance meeting with another Qoya teacher planted the seed for me to become a teacher. I have worked hard to make this a reality and Sunranges Qoya is the fruit of my work. I know that Qoya is the right path for me and the way I will continue to help empower women to discover their true potential.
I live in the Macedon Ranges and I'm a mum and a carer to my mum. I love getting out in nature, seeing live music and moving my body.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU TO TEACH QOYA?
Qoya is a way for me to continue to help empower women. I strongly believe that Qoya can help women navigate the world with strength, grace and determination. Women can do anything and I think Qoya can help to show them that!
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO IS FEELING INSPIRED TO TRY QOYA FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Give it a go! A class goes for about 90 minutes, and I promise you you will move your body in ways you hadn't before. You will feel things you hadn't before or at least, hadn't noticed before. You will experience what its like to truly dance like no one is watching. And its fun!
