ABOUT

Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Trauma Therapist, Ceremonialist, Astrologer, Mother and Grandmother

Like a honeybee, I have been drawn all my life to wisdom and healing traditions. So much nectar has been gathered, and I love to share and to cross-pollinate with others. My training in Mindfulness and in trauma work have shown me that embodied awareness is the key to healing, and to being present to all of life. The body knows, and is never wrong. When we become present, our inner knowing and resources can be expressed and show us the way. I love nature - the nature that is inside each of us, and all around us. I'm on a lifelong adventure of loving the world.

I offer classes on an occasional basis. Please email me if you'd like to be on my invitation list. truenaturemindfulness@gmail.com.

GETTING TO KNOW

Paula Coyne

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU TO TEACH QOYA?

Qoya allows me to bring together so much of what I love and value. All of my training and experience has shown me that embodied awareness is a key to healing trauma and liberating the human spirit. Qoya's core instruction is to listen to your own body's wisdom; there is NO way to do any of it wrong, and it doesn't matter how it looks. There is so much healing in this, given that we have all suffered from judgment about how we look. I believe in our inner goodness and wisdom, and Qoya invites each person to seek inside of themselves to find the gems. Then we can be witnessed and supported in our own knowing. This community component is also very important. Inherent in Qoya is the practice of compassionate self-acceptance, another foundation of wellness. Because Qoya is intended particularly for women, it becomes a safe space for women to experience their own sensuality, to reclaim sovereignty over one's body, and kindle a loving relationship with the whole self. I teach what I need to experience, so this is why I love to share Qoya. It's just Good Medicine.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO IS FEELING INSPIRED TO TRY QOYA FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Trust your curiosity, and give it a try. You'll be supported gently, and you just might experience a taste of your own wise, wild, and free essence.
And maybe a community of kind and respectful support, too.
