WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU TO TEACH QOYA?
Sharing Qoya Inspired Movement is a joy! To have a space to remember that we are like nature, Wise, Wild, and Free, has been a homecoming, a deep reset, and something my soul longs for. Offering spaces for Qoya Inspired Movement for myself and others -- feel ancient, something we humans have all been doing for a very long time and are ready to return to its wise ways, together. To be in a relationship with self in this intimate way, to be in connections with others in a supportive, mutual present way, and to dance with nature, the elements, our shadow, our hearts, and beyond.... feels like a dream come true. I have always been one to follow the dream or as Rumi put it "Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray" and Qoya Inspired Movement continues to pull me and not lead me astray... I hope to move with you!
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO IS FEELING INSPIRED TO TRY QOYA FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Try it! What comes to me first is that common saying/encouragement to "do one thing that scares you each day" and if taking this class feels a bit scary to step into, your body having sensations that make you want to try something else instead, I get it! I'd also say "stay with yourself" and if there is any morsel to lean into the fear and take it as a dance partner, to be with what you are feeling in your hesitation and include it and welcome it then you are so ready to Qoya and I welcome you friend!
